Heather Gardens Pickleball Club 2025 Annual Meeting Minutes

November 1, 2025

 

1. Election of 2026 Officers: The current officers were re-elected to serve again in 2026.

 

2. Ratings/Levels Committee: Five volunteers signed up to create guidelines for playing with others of similar skill levels.

 

3. Mini-League Sign-up: Gretchen Ukele gathered 10 names to start a 4-week mini-league/tournament. More details are coming soon!

4. Safety: Remember we're playing for fun! Please do not risk a fall trying to return an impossible shot. Wear 

​

5. Snow Removal: We have a great total of 27 volunteers (12 new sign-ups) who will make court clearing much quicker! Ron Hileman will email to schedule "shoveling parties."

​

6. Financial Report: Treasurer Florey Laubacher reported the club is in good shape with $2,241.68. Planned purchases include: an additional shed, a new leaf blower, more pickleballs, and saving for better replacement nets.

​

7. Upcoming Social Events:

    •Sunday, 11/23: Thanksgiving Round Robin

    •Saturday, 12/13: Holiday Round Robin

    •Sunday, 12/28: New Year’s Celebration (Fun games & Open Play)  

    •Saturday, 1/3 (6-8 pm): Holiday Potluck in the Aspen Room

8. 2026 Dues: Dues will be $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents.

​

9. Comments from the Floor:

    •Website Photos: Pictures of ten members were taken for the HG Pickle website. We'll work to get photos of the remaining members.

    •Pickleball Throwing Machine: The TITAN machine has arrived! We plan to make it available most Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 10 am. Run it manually with the instructions or remotely with the "Titan Drills Pro" app.

    •Lost and Found: Eight unclaimed sweaters/jackets are in the shed. Please claim them by Sunday, 11/9/25, or they'll be moved to the Clubhouse Lost and Found.st and Found.
